17 both sides for final edge or 15 one side and 20 degrees the opposing for a desirable double bevel for hunters with less chance of edge chipping from cutting work, plus after the width of the blade is reduced by the 15 degree then there is less metal remaining for the 20 degree to sharpen. So you get back to cutting quicker.
